Summer Exhibition 2009 Click on image to see full details of each work Born in Hackney, Barbara attended thirteen schools as an evacuee during the War years. She gained admission to Willesden Technical College and St Martins School of Art. Her first sculpture was exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Sculpture. She has held four one man shows in London, the latest being in 2008 at the National Theatre. Her portraits HRH Prince Charles (now exhibited at Cardiff City Hall), Indira Gandhi, Dr Michael Ramsey and Professor Linford Reece. More recently she was commissioned to create a sculpture by the International Crisis Group presented to benefactors George Soros and Morten Abramowitz, the then US Under-Secretary of State.
